Experience Budapest from the Danube on the city’s original unlimited drinks sightseeing cruise. Since launching in 2022, the experience has welcomed more than 550,000 guests aboard. Enjoy panoramic city views, unlimited Hungarian sparkling wine, self-service spritzers, beer, music and timed recorded English commentary in one relaxed and social experience.

Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure. Guests are welcomed with their first glass of Hungarian sparkling wine before taking a seat and beginning the 75-minute cruise. The route passes riverside landmarks including the Hungarian Parliament Building, Buda Castle, Gellért Hill, Margaret Island and Budapest’s bridges.

Unlimited Hungarian sparkling wine is available at the onboard bar. A classic dry sparkling wine is always available, with an additional rosé or semi-sweet option offered subject to availability. Guests should keep and reuse their glass when requesting refills.

The self-service stations offer Aperol Spritzer made with original Aperol, Hugo Spritzer with elderflower flavour, Rossini Spritzer with strawberry flavour and Limoncello Spritzer prepared without sparkling wine. These are easy-drinking spritzer versions, not heavy cocktails. Homemade lemonade, lemon-mint water and still water are also available.

Beer is available upon request at the onboard bar. Background music plays between sections of timed recorded English commentary. The cruise welcomes couples, families, birthday celebrations and groups of friends looking for relaxed, social sightseeing; it is not operated as a nightclub or dance party.

The cruise operates on different vessels. Open-air viewing areas and an indoor lounge are available, but deck layout, seating, accessibility, heating, cooling and other facilities may vary by vessel and departure. Daylight, sunset and decorative city lighting depend on the selected departure time, season and municipal or national lighting policy and cannot be guaranteed.

    See one of Budapest’s most recognisable landmarks from the Danube. The route normally offers views of Parliament in both directions.

    Take in Buda Castle and the historic Castle District rising above the Buda riverbank.

    Admire Gellért Hill and the Buda skyline from the river.
  • Margaret Island – Pass By

Departure point

Choose your departure point.

This cruise departs from three different piers on the Pest embankment. Each pier has its own schedule and booking, so select the pier you want to depart from below.

Always follow the departure point shown on your final ticket or voucher.

Bud By Boat operates from multiple piers, and an old screenshot or general map search may show the wrong location.

Traffic, road closures and limited parking are common near the Danube.
Public transport or an official taxi is recommended. Hungary has a zero-tolerance drink-driving policy.

Important information

Before you board.

Arrive at least 15 minutes before the booked departure time. Departures operate to a fixed schedule.

Download or save the QR ticket before arrival. A booking reference without the valid QR ticket is not sufficient for boarding.

Guests aged 0–3 travel free but must have a reserved €0 infant ticket. Guests aged 4 and over require a full-price ticket.

Seating is free and not pre-assigned. Groups with separate bookings should arrive and board together if they wish to sit together.

Landmark lighting is controlled by the city and state authorities and may change or be switched off without notice.

Smoking is not permitted in the indoor lounge. Use only designated outdoor areas.

Guests who do not drink alcohol can choose homemade lemonade, lemon-mint water and still water. There is no separate discounted alcohol-free ticket.

The onboard bar is cashless and American Express is not accepted.

Outside food and drinks are not permitted, except birthday cakes. Light snacks may be purchased onboard.

A valid physical passport or national identity card may be required for age and identity verification. Student cards and driving licences are not accepted for this purpose.

Accessibility depends on the selected dock and assigned vessel. Contact customer service before booking if step-free access is required.

Toilets are available during the cruise but close when the docking process begins.

Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome if kept on a leash and wearing a muzzle. Boarding may be refused if an animal appears distressed, aggressive or unsuitable for the onboard environment.

Shirts and footwear must be worn. There is no formal dress code; casual or smart-casual clothing is recommended.

Intoxicated or disruptive guests may be refused boarding or further alcohol service without a refund.

How long is the Unlimited Prosecco Cruise?
The cruise lasts 75 minutes. Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure, and we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early.
How much does the cruise cost?
The price is €24.80 per guest aged 4 or over. Children aged 0–3 travel free, but a required €0 infant ticket must be added to the booking.
What drinks are included?
The cruise includes Hungarian Prosecco, beer from the bar, Aperol Spritzer, Hugo Spritzer, Rossini Spritzer, Limoncello Spritzer, homemade lemonade, lemon-mint water and still water. The exact selection may be subject to availability.
How are drinks served?
You receive a welcome glass when boarding. Prosecco and beer refills are available at the bar, while house spritzers and alcohol-free refreshments are available from self-service stations. Please keep and reuse the glass provided for refills.
Is food included?
This is primarily a sightseeing and drinks experience. Food is not included unless it is expressly stated in your selected booking.
Where does the cruise depart from?
The cruise may depart from Akadémia 3, Dock 0 or Vigadó 8A. Choose the appropriate departure option when booking and always follow the departure point shown on your final ticket or voucher.
Is seating reserved?
Seating is not assigned and specific seats or tables cannot be guaranteed. Arrive early and board with your full group for the best chance of sitting together.
What kind of atmosphere can I expect?
The cruise has a relaxed, lounge-style sightseeing atmosphere with background music and timed English audio commentary. It is not operated as a nightclub or party boat.
Is audio commentary available?
Yes. Timed recorded sightseeing commentary is available in English. Other commentary languages are not currently guaranteed.
Are alcohol-free drinks included?
Yes. Homemade lemonade, lemon-mint water and still water are included. There is no separate reduced-price alcohol-free ticket.
Who may drink alcohol?
Alcohol is served only to guests aged 18 or over. The crew may request a physical passport or national identity card for age verification and may stop alcohol service when responsible service requires it.
Will the city lights be on?
Decorative city lighting is controlled by public authorities and cannot be guaranteed. Check the local sunset time before booking if you prefer a daylight, sunset or evening departure.
