📍 Arrival, Boarding & Location
How do I find the correct departure point?

Your exact departure point is shown on your final ticket or voucher. Bud By Boat cruises may depart from different piers on the Pest side of the Danube. Always follow the departure point shown on your final ticket or voucher. Do not rely on an earlier screenshot, previous booking or general Google Maps search.

When should I arrive?

Please follow the arrival and boarding instructions shown on your ticket. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before departure. Cruises operate on fixed schedules and cannot delay departure for late arrivals.

What do I need for boarding?

Every guest must present a valid ticket containing a scannable QR code. Download or save the QR code before arriving, as mobile coverage may be unreliable along the riverside. A name or booking reference without a valid QR code may not be sufficient for boarding.

Do groups need to arrive together?
Guests booked under the same reservation should arrive and board together. If members of your group booked separately but want to travel together, arrive and present yourselves for boarding as one group. Separate bookings cannot guarantee placement on the same vessel or adjacent seating.

♿ Accessibility & Comfort

Are the cruises wheelchair accessible?
Accessibility depends on the departure dock, vessel and river conditions. Some vessels or boarding points may include stairs, narrow passages or changing gangway angles. Contact us before booking so we can check the selected departure.
Are strollers allowed?
Strollers are allowed, but some vessels have stairs, narrow passages and limited storage space. A lightweight, foldable stroller is recommended. Contact us before booking if you need confirmation for a particular departure.
Are there toilets on board?
Yes. Toilets are available during the cruise. Their location and accessibility vary by vessel, and they may be temporarily unavailable during docking procedures.
What should I wear?
Dress for the current weather, especially if you plan to use an open-air viewing area or wait outside during boarding. Outdoor deck access may be restricted because of weather, river conditions or operational requirements.

How do I book a cruise?
Bookings must be completed online through the Bud By Boat website or the booking platform where the program is listed. Select the correct program, date and departure point before completing payment.
What payment methods are accepted on board?
The onboard bar is cashless. Visa, Mastercard and contactless payments are accepted. Cash and American Express are not accepted.
How can I contact Bud By Boat?

What happens if I arrive late?
Cruises cannot delay departure for late arrivals. Missed departures are handled according to the cancellation and no-show conditions applying to the booking. Please review your ticket and the Cancellation Policy before travelling to the dock.

📜 Policies & Safety

Will Budapest’s decorative city lights be on during my cruise?
Budapest’s decorative landmark and bridge lighting is controlled by public authorities. It may change or be switched off without notice and cannot be guaranteed for any particular departure. Check the local sunset time before booking if you prefer a daylight, sunset or evening experience.
Can I smoke or vape on board?
Smoking, vaping and heated tobacco products are prohibited inside the vessels. They may only be used in designated outdoor areas where permitted by the crew.
What behaviour is expected on board?
Guests must follow the instructions of the captain and crew. The crew may refuse boarding, stop alcohol service or take other necessary action when a guest appears intoxicated, behaves dangerously or disrupts other guests.
Where can I read the cancellation policy?
Cancellation, modification, late-arrival and no-show conditions may depend on the selected program and booking channel. Review the conditions shown during booking and the full Cancellation Policy at https://www.budbyboat.com/cancellation-policy.
What happens to lost property?
